To be reliable we shall start with a bit of history. Rottweiler starting in 1989 became a part of Polish punk rock with of 2 tapes and one vinyl EP. Unfortunately due to some attidude differences in the band they decided to break up. The Whitman story begins, when the ex bass guitarist of Rottweiler bored with playing metal/hardrock/nu-metal/postcore (underline the proper) in the band Bozon Higgsa, feeling the need to return to punk rock, reminds himself of his old friends. Stzrala and Szymon sinking in musical laziness since the Rottweiler breakup, eagerly, but not without anxiety agree to join the new project. On the Poison Idea concert in Katowice they meet Michal - ex Defence drummer, who apperas to be a smart and skillful young drummer, and makes the band compleete. Quickly we create new material in a bit different style than Rottweiler, a little slower, the lyrics are beeing written and at last, after long considerations, we decide on a name. On the 18th of March 2005 Whitman plays the firs concert, which prooves that punk rock is still with us.
